[Machine] I asked my father, "Who is the man who saved you from the idolaters when they attacked you?" He said, "That is Al-Aas ibn Wa'il As-Sahmi."  

الطبراني:٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي «مَنِ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي خَلَّصَكَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ ضَرَبُوكَ؟» قَالَ ذَاكَ الْعَاصُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ السَّهْمِيُّ
