زَائِدَةُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

tabarani:7640 – Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Yaḥyá b. Ḥamzah al-Dimashqī > Yaḥyá b. Ṣāliḥ al-Wuḥāẓī > Jamīʿ b. Thawb al-Raḥabī > Zāʾidah b. Ḥusayn > Abū Umāmah > Rasūl Allāh Ṣallá

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Make the sermon brief and speak less" when he sent a commander (to a mission).  

الطبراني:٧٦٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ ثنا جَمِيعُ بْنُ ثَوْبٍ الرَّحَبِيُّ ثنا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ أَمِيرًا قَالَ «أَقْصِرِ الْخُطْبَةَ وَأَقِلَّ الْكَلَامَ»
