الطبراني:٤٧٣٨حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِي عَنْ جَدِّي عُقْبَةَ بْنِ فَاكِهٍ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ إِلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيَّ مُتَّزِرًا بِيَدِهِ الرُّمْحُ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا خَارِجَةَ مَا بَالُ الرُّمْحِ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ؟ قَالَ

«كُنْتُ أَطْلُبُ هَذِهِ الدَّابَّةَ الْخَبِيثَةَ الَّتِي يَكْتُبُ اللهُ بِقَتْلِهَا الْحَسَنَةَ وَيَمْحُو بِهَا السَّيِّئَةَ وَهِي الْوَزَغُ»
