[Machine] During the Battle of Dhat al-Salasil, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed Amr ibn al-Aas to lead an army that included Abu Bakr.  

الطبراني:٤٤٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ الطَّائِيِّ قَالَ

«لَمَّا كَانَتْ غَزْوَةُ ذَاتِ السَّلَاسِلِ اسْتَعْمَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِّ عَلَى جَيْشٍ فِيهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ»
