[Machine] "I saw Hujr ibn Adi when Muawiyah took hold of him and he said, 'This is my pledge of allegiance that I will not break nor resign, by the hearing of Allah and the people.'"

الطبراني:٣٥٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ حُجْرَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ حِينَ أَخَذَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «هَذِهِ بَيْعَتِي لَا أَقِيلُهَا وَلَا أَسْتَقِيلُهَا سَمَاعَ اللهِ وَالنَّاسِ»
