tabarani:3349 – Jaʿfar b. Aḥmad b. Sinān al-Wāsiṭī And Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī > Abū Kurayb > Rishdīn b. Saʿd > ʿAqīl > Ibn Shihāb > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Saʿd > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Ḥārith b. Hishām from his father

[Machine] He said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell me about something that I can hold onto." He said: "Control this," and pointed to his tongue.  

الطبراني:٣٣٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَدِّثْنِي بِأَمْرٍ أَعْتَصِمُ بِهِ قَالَ «امْلِكْ عَلَيْكَ هَذَا» وَأَشَارَ إِلَى لِسَانِهِ

[Machine] He informed him that he said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Tell me something that I can adhere to." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Control your tongue", and he pointed to his tongue.
