قَتَادَةُ بْنُ دِعَامَةَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ

tabarani:20875ʿAbdān b. Aḥmad > Hudbah b. Khālid > Hammām > Qatādah > Shahr b. Ḥawshab > Asmāʾ b. Yazīd

[Machine] I went with my brother to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , wearing two gold bracelets. He asked me, "Would you like Allah to replace them with two bracelets of fire?" So I quickly removed them and threw them away, but I don't know who picked them up.  

الطبراني:٢٠٨٧٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ أَخِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلِيَّ سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ «أَيَسُرُّكِ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَكِ اللهُ بِسُوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارٍ؟» فَانْتَزَعْتُهُمَا فَرَمَيْتُهُما فَلَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ النَّاسِ أَخَذَهُمَا

[Machine] I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to pledge allegiance to him. So I approached him and I had two golden bracelets on me, so he looked at them with his eyes and said, "Throw away the bracelets, O Asma. Don't you fear that Allah will adorn you with bracelets of fire?" She said, "So I threw them away, but I don't know who took them."
