[Machine] A boy from among us went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I ask you a question." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What is it?" The boy said, "I ask you to make me one of those for whom you will intercede on the Day of Resurrection." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Who commanded you to ask this? Or who taught you this? Or who guided you to this?" The boy replied, "No one commanded me to do this except myself." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then I will intercede for you on the Day of Resurrection." So the boy went away happy to inform his family. When he reached his family, he said, "Return me to the Prophet ﷺ ." They returned him sadly, fearing that something had happened to him. He said, "Advise me to increase prostration."  

انْطَلَقَ غُلَامٌ مِنَّا فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَائِلُكَ سُؤَالًا قَالَ «وَمَا هُوَ؟» قَالَ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ تَشْفَعُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ «مَنْ أَمَرَكَ بِهَا أَوْ مَنْ عَلَّمَكَ بِهَذَا؟ أَوْ مَنْ دَلَّكَ عَلَى هَذَا ؟» قَالَ مَا أَمَرَنِي بِهَذَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا نَفْسِي قَالَ «فَإِنَّكَ مِمَّنْ أَشْفَعُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» فَذَهَبَ الْغُلَامُ جَذْلَانَ لِيُخْبِرَ أَهْلَهُ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ «رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ الْغُلَامَ» فَرَدُّوهُ كَئِيبًا مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ حَدَثَ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ قَالَ «أَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ»
