tabarani:13355ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to spend the night in Dhu al-Hulayfah, and when he prayed Fajr (dawn prayer), he would sit on his mount and face in that direction.  

الطبراني:١٣٣٥٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي أَعْطَانَا ابْنُ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ كُتُبًا عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبِيتُ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ قَعَدَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَلَبَّى»
