tabarani:101ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > al-Zubayr b. Bakkār > Qutil

[Machine] I heard Zubayr ibn Bakkar say, "Uthman ibn Affan was killed on Friday, in the eighteenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, in the year thirty-six, after 'Asr prayer. He was eighty-two years old at that time and was fasting."  

الطبراني:١٠١حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ بَكَّارٍ يَقُولُ «قُتِلَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ لِثَمَانَ عَشْرَةَ خَلَتْ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ اثْنَيْنِ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً وَكَانَ يَوْمَئِذٍ صَائِمًا»
