[Machine] "I traveled with Abdullah to the city, and he did not take off his shoes for three days and nights." Sulaiman said, "So I narrated this story to Ibrahim and he said, 'And I was narrated to by Abu Ubaidah from Amr ibn Al-Harith this story.'"
[Machine] I traveled with Abdullah bin Masood and he wiped over his ankles three times.
[Machine] "The traveler wipes over the socks for three days, and for the resident it is a day and a night." And I traveled with Abdullah, so he stayed for three days wiping over his socks.
I asked ʿAʿishah ؓ about wiping over the khuff (leather slippers) and she said: Ask ʿAli ؓ . I asked him and he said: Three days and nights - i.e., for the traveller - and one day and night for one who is not travelling (Using translation from Aḥmad 780)
The Prophet ﷺ said: The time limit for wiping over the socks for a traveller is three days (and three nights) and for a resident it is one day and one night. Abu Dawud said: Another version adds: Had we requested him to extend (the period of wiping), he would have extended. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 157)
[Machine] That a man had scabies, so Ibn Mas'ud commanded that some dirt be brought in a basket or a winnowing basket, and the man wiped himself with the dirt.
[Machine] "If I were traveling and I couldn't find water for a month, I wouldn't pray." Sufyan said, "This shouldn't be taken."
[Machine] Narrated by Aisha, they said, "When circumcision is completed, ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory." Masruq said, "Aisha was the most knowledgeable among them regarding this matter."
[Machine] Sufyan said, "And the congregation is obligated to perform ablution."
[Machine] As for me, when I reached that from the woman, I washed myself.
[Machine] I heard Abdullah say, "Whoever washes with a handful of water has fulfilled his duty."
[Machine] If he washes his head while he is in a state of major ritual impurity, he has fulfilled the obligation, and it does not harm him if water does not pour onto it.
[Machine] "If one of you washes his head while he is in a state of major impurity (junub) due to sexual defilement, then he performs ablution thereafter, he should wash his head with water if he wishes."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ud used to wash his body with Khitmi water even while in a state of impurity, but he would not wash his head.
[Machine] If one who is in a state of ritual impurity washes his head with khitmiyy water, it is sufficient for him instead of washing it with regular water.
[Machine] "I have only initiated the prayer with the first takbeer."
[Machine] "That Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari removed his sandals and Abdullah said to him, 'Why did you remove your sandals, O holy father?'"
[Machine] Abu Musa stepped forward and said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman, you should go ahead, for you are older and more knowledgeable." He replied, "No, you should go ahead, for we have come to you in your house and mosque." So Abu Musa preceded him and took off his shoes. When he finished praying, Abu Abdur Rahman asked him, "Why did you take off your shoes? Did you see the Prophet ﷺ do so?"
[Machine] It says, "He used to sit on the Burdiyah (a type of mat made from straw) and prostrate on the ground." Then, it says, "We asked, what is the Burdiyah? He said, 'It is a straw mat.'"
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ud used to (wash) clean the mosque and would not leave any dirt in it except for a praying man.
[Machine] "The prohibition of salah is takbir, and the permission for it is taslim. And if you have an urgent need and have completed the taslim, then depart before someone faces you."
[Machine] He prayed with his companions in his home without observing the conventional prayer posture and said, "The prayer of the Egyptian is sufficient."
[Machine] Sufyan said, "Their residence in Egypt is sufficient for them."
[Machine] Abdullah bin Mas'ood saw a man raising his hands to the sky, supplicating while in his prayer. So, Abdullah bin Mas'ood said, "What does he know? Perhaps his sight may be dazzled before it returns to him."
[Machine] "If the prayer is obligatory, do not leave it for another."
[Machine] Abdullah prayed when the sun set and I asked Sulaiman for the afternoon prayer. He replied yes, and Abdullah said, "This is, by Allah, the time for this prayer."
[Machine] Abdullah used to pray Dhuhr, while the jinns would jump over you in the heat of Ramadan.
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ood used to postpone/ascribe the Asr prayer.
[Machine] "Verily, the sun rises between the two horns of the devil, so no stalk rises except that a door from the doors of Hellfire is opened for it. And when it is midday, the doors of Hellfire are opened for it. Abdullah used to forbid us from performing prayers during these two hours, from the time it rises until it reaches its zenith and halfway through the day."
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Mas'ood used to perform the Fajr prayer.
[Machine] Abdullah used to say, "Pray quickly, for behind you are the elderly, the weak, and those in need." We used to pray with our imam while wearing our clothes, and he would recite the Surah from the middle (of the Quran). Then we would go to Abdullah and find him in prayer.
[Machine] Allah the Almighty {by the night as it envelops and by the daybreak; indeed, the recitation of dawn is witnessed.}
اللهُ تَعَالَى {إِلَى غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا}
[Machine] Narrated to me by someone who saw Ibn Mas'ud, he prayed the Fajr prayer and then sat down without standing up for another prayer until the call for the Dhuhr prayer was made. He then got up and prayed four units.
[Machine] "No one of you should pray while there is a barrier between him and the direction of the qibla."
[Machine] "Do not pray while there is a gap between you and the Qibla."
[Machine] If one passes in front of a person who is praying, they should do so because passing in front of a person who is praying diminishes their reward.
[Machine] That no one passes in front of him, let him do it, for surely the person who passes in front of someone who is praying loses a portion of his reward."
[Machine] "If anything passes in front of a person while they are praying, they should do it, because anything that passes in front of the person praying diminishes their reward."
[Machine] "To pass in front of you while you are praying, do not let him, as he will invalidate half of his prayer."
[Machine] To prostrate while saying "Labbaik" and "Sa'dayk" in his prostration.
[Machine] "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who take their place in the first rows (of prayer), meaning the advanced row."
