"أَوَّلُ كرامَةِ المؤْمن أَن يُغْفَر لمن شَهدَ جنازتَهُ، وفى لفظ: لِمُشيِّعِهِ".  

الحاكم في بعض تصانيفه ومن طريقه الديلمى في مسنده عن أَبى هريرة بلفظ: أَوَّلُ تُحْفَةِ المؤْمِن إِذا ماتَ أَن يغفِر اللَّهُ ﷻ لكل من تبع جنازته وحكم الحاكم عليه بالوضع، والصواب ضعفه، [هـ] ابن ماجة وضعَّفه
