" عَنْ أَنَسٍ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الكَنِيفَ قَالَ: بِسْم اللهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِث ".

Whenever the Prophet ﷺ went to the lavatory, he used to say: "Allahumma inni aʿudhu bika min al-khubuthi wal khaba'ith."

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the privy, and in the hadith transmitted by Hushaim (the words are): When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the lavatory, be used to say: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from wicked and noxious things.
عَنْ أَنَسٍ فِي حَدِيثِ حَمَّادٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلاَءَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ هُشَيْمٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْكَنِيفَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Al-Khala' (the toilet) and said: 'Allahumma inni a'uthu bika min al-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils)."[1] [1] See Ma'alam As-Sunan by Al-Khattabi. And Al-Khala' is the area one relieves oneself in. It refers to outside or other than that, it should not be understood to mean toilet only.
