"إِنِّى أَسْمَعُ صَوْتًا وَأرَى ضَوْءًا وأَخْشَى أَنْ يكُونَ بِى جُنُونٌ قَالَهُ لِخَدِيجَةَ فِى ابْتِدَاءِ الْوَحْى" .  

ابن منيع من حديث ابن عباس والطبرانى من حديثه. وَزَادَ؛ قَالَ: فَأَتَتْ خَدِيجَةُ ورَقَةَ بن نوفل فذكرت ذلك له فقال: ناموس موسى وإِن يبعث وأَنا حَىٌّ فسأعزِّزه وأَنصره نصرا مؤزَّرًا
