"إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ شئٌ كان يقوله العبَّاسُ بن عبد المطَّلب، وأبو سفيان بن حرب ليأمنا باليمن، معاذَ اللَّه أنْ نُزَنِّى أُمَّنَا، أوْ نَقْفُو أَبَانَا، نحن بنو النَّضَرِ بنِ كنانةَ؛ من قال غيرَ ذلِك فقد كذبَ".
