("أُنزِلتْ عليَّ اللَّيلة سورةُ مريم، سمِّها مريم".  

الديلمى، أَنبأَنا أَبو على الحسن بن أَحمد المقرى الحداد، أَنبأَنا أَبو نعيم أَحمد بن عبد الله الحافظ، (أَنبأَنا) ثنا الطبراني، (أَنبأَنا) ثنا الحسن بن إِسحاق التسترى، (أَنبأَنا) ثنا سلمان بن سلمة، حدثني عبد الله بن العلاءِ الصلاح من آل أَبى بكر ابن أَبي مريم، حدثني أَبو بكر بن عبد الله بن أَبي مريم الغسانى عن أَبيه عن جده مَعْنٍ، قال: أَتيت رسولَ الله ﷺ ، فقلتُ: وَلِدت لي الليلةَ جاريةٌ فقال ذلك)
