"عن سليم أبى عامر أن وفد الحمراء أتوا عثمان فبايعوه على أن لا يشركوا بالله شيئًا، ويقيموا الصلاة، ويؤتوا الزكاة، ويَصُوموا رمضان، ويَدَعُوا عيد المجوس، فلما قالوا: نعم، بايعهم".
