السيوطي:٣-٢٣b –

" عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِىٍّ قَالَ: خَصْلَتَانِ لعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ لَيْستَا لأِبِى بَكْرٍ وَلاَ لِعُمَرَ: صَبْرُهُ نَفْسَهُ حَتَّى قُتِلَ، وَجَمْعُهُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْمُصْحَفِ ".
