[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to seek Ruqyah and use medicines to cure ourselves. Does it go against the decree of Allah?" He replied, "It is part of the decree of Allah." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in his summary.
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: ‘Do you think that the medicines with which we treat ourselves, the Ruqyah by which we seek healing, and the means of protection that we seek, change the decree of Allah at all?’ He said: ‘They are part of the decree of Allah.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3437)
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to seek protection with it and use medicine for healing with it. Does it go against the decree of Allah, the Most High?" He said, "It is from the decree of Allah."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to practice ruqyah (healing through recitation) and seek treatment through medicines. Does that go against the qadr (predestination) of Allah?" He replied, "It is part of the qadr of Allah."
[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you think there is a medicine for us to hainhealing, a method to seek fortune, or actions we can do that will contradict the decree of Allah?" He (the Messenger) replied, "O Ka'b, no, it is all part of the decree of Allah."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about using ruqyah (incantation) and seeking cure through medicines that go against the will of Allah?" He said, "They are from the will of Allah." This is how 'Uthman ibn 'Umar narrated it from Yunus, but people contradicted him and narrated it from Yunus as reported by people from Az-Zuhri, from Abu Khuzamah.
