"نَظَرْتُ إِلَى مَلكِ الْمَوتِ عِنْدَ رَأسِ رَجلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، فَقُلتُ: يَا ملكَ الْمَوتِ: أُرْفُق بِصَاحِبِي؛ فَإِنَّه مؤمِنٌ، قَال: يا مُحَمَّدُ: طِبْ نَفْسًا، وَقَرَّ عينًا، فإِنِي بِكُل مؤمنٍ رَفِيقٌ".
