"مَنْ لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ مِنَ الْحَجِّ حَاجَةٌ ظَاهِرَةٌ، أَوْ سُلطَانٌ جَائِرٌ، أَوْ مَرَضٌ حَابِسٌ فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ، فَليَمُتْ إِنْ شَاءَ الله يَهوديًّا وَإِنْ شَاءَ نَصْرَانيًّا".  

الدارمي، [هب] البيهقى في شعب الإيمان عن أَبي أمامة

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever is not prevented from performing the Hajj by an obvious need, oppressive authority, or an imprisoning illness, and dies without performing Hajj, then let them die as either a Jew or a Christian, if they wish."
