"عن ابن أَبى حسين أن رجلًا مسلما شجَّ رجلًا من أَهْلِ الذمةِ، فهم عمرُ بن الخطاب أن يقيده منه، فقال معاذُ بْنُ جبل: قد علمتَ أن ليسَ ذلك له، وأَثرَ ذلك عن النبى ﷺ فأعطاه عمر بن الخطاب في شجَّته دينارًا فرضِى بِه".
