"عن إسماعيلَ بنِ أُمَيَّةَ: أن رجلًا كان يَقُصُّ شارِبَ عُمَرَ بن الخطابِ فَأفْزَعَهُ فَضَرَطَ (* *)، فقال عمر: إِنَّا لم نُرِد هَذَا ولكن نَسْتَعْقِلها لَك، فأعطاه أربعينَ دِرْهَمَا وشَاةً".
