BAYHAQI 17850:
from Kharaj ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb —
[Machine] "The long sea stretched out this night, and its side turned black, causing me sleeplessness because my beloved is not with me to entertain him. Umar ibn Al-Khattab asked Hafsah bint Umar, 'How long can a woman bear separation from her husband?' She replied, 'Six or four months.' Umar said, 'I will not confine the army more than this.'"
