AHMAD 8286:
from al-Maqburiyyiʿan Abū Hurayrah —
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whenever a person leaves his house, meaning from its door, there are two banners: a banner in the hand of an angel and a banner in the hand of a devil. If he leaves for what pleases Allah, the angel follows him with his banner and he remains under the banner of the angel until he returns home. But if he leaves for what displeases Allah, the devil follows him with his banner and he remains under the banner of the devil until he returns home."
