There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Messenger of Allah, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ قَالُوا وَإِيَّاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَإِيَّاىَ إِلاَّ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَلاَ يَأْمُرُنِي إِلاَّ بِخَيْرٍ

“Do not enter upon Al-Mughibar (the women whose husband are absent), for indeed the Shaitan flows through one of you as the blood flows.” We said: “And you?” He said: “And me, but Allah helped me over him, so I am safe.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَلِجُوا عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ مَجْرَى الدَّمِ قُلْنَا وَمِنْكَ قَالَ وَمِنِّي وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ

Observe moderation in deeds (and if it is not possible, try to be near moderation) and understand that none amongst you can attain salvation because of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Mercy and Grace. (Using translation from Muslim 2816g)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ لَنْ يُنْجِيَهُ عَمَلُهُ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is not one of you except that he has a companion from the jinn and a companion from the angels." They asked: "Even you?" He replied: "Yes, even me. But Allah has aided me against him, so he has submitted." Abu Muhammad said: "Among the people is someone who says, 'I have submitted' but he means, 'I have given up'."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَقَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ» قَالُوا وَإِيَّاكَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَإِيَّايَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ» قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَسْلَمَ اسْتَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ ذَلَّ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "None of you has any partner except that he has a companion from the angels and from the jinn." They said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he has embraced Islam and he only commands me with goodness."

لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَلِجُوا عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ مَجْرَى الدَّمِ قُلْنَا وَمِنْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَمِنِّي وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِفَأَسْلَمَ

“Be moderate and adhere to moderation, for there is no one among you who will be saved by his deeds.” They said: “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Not even me. Unless Allah encompasses me with mercy and grace from Him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4201)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَلَنْ يُنْجِيَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ قُلْنَا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is none of you except that he has a devil." They said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become Muslim."

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ لا ينجي أَحَدًا منكم عمله فقال رجل ولاَ أنت يا رَسولَ اللهِ؟ قال ولاَ أنا إلاَّ أن يتغمدني الله منه برحمة

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قَالَ لا ينجي أحدا منكم عمله قالوا ولا أنت يا رسول الله قال ولا أنا إلا أن يتغمدني الله منه برحمته وفضل

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "No one will enter Paradise by their deeds alone." We asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "No, not even me unless Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, bestows His mercy upon me." And he placed his hand on his head.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلٍ» قُلْنَا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ ﷻ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ» وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is not one of you except that they have a companion devil with them." We said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he surrendered (to Allah)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» قُلْنَا وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَأَنَا إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Everyone has a companion from among the jinn." They asked, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become Muslim and only commands me to do good."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا جُعِلَ مَعَهُ قَرِينٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَلَا يَأْمُرُنِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ»

"لَيسَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إلا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِه قَرينُه مِن الشَّيَاطِين، قَالُوا: وَأَنْتَ يا رسولَ اللهِ؟ قال: نَعَم، ولَكن الله أَعَانَنِى عَلَيه فَأَسْلَم".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إلا ومعَهُ شَيطَانٌ، قَالُوا: وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قال: وَأَنَا، إلا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِى عَلَيهِ فَأَسْلَمَ".

"مَا مِنكمْ مِنْ أَحدٍ إلَّا وَقَدْ وُكِّل بِه قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ، وَقَرِينُهُ مِن الْمَلائِكَةِ. قَالُوا: وإياك يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ ، قال: وإِيَّاى إلا أَنَّ الله - ﷻ - أَعَانَنِى عَلَيهِ فأَسْلَمَ، فَلَا يَأمُرُنِى إلا بِخَيرٍ".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحدٍ إلا وَلَهُ شَيطَانٌ، قَالُوا: وَلَك يا رَسُولَ الله؟ ، قال: وَلِى، وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِى فأَسْلَمَ، وَما مِنْكُمْ منْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَملُه الْجَنَّة، قَالُوا: وَلَا أنْتَ يا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قال: ولا أَنَا إلا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِى رَبِّى بِرَحْمَتِهِ".
