There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Messenger of Allah, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ قَالُوا وَإِيَّاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَإِيَّاىَ إِلاَّ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَلاَ يَأْمُرُنِي إِلاَّ بِخَيْرٍ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Mansiir with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ بِإِسْنَادِ جَرِيرٍ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَقَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ

“Do not enter upon Al-Mughibar (the women whose husband are absent), for indeed the Shaitan flows through one of you as the blood flows.” We said: “And you?” He said: “And me, but Allah helped me over him, so I am safe.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَلِجُوا عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ مَجْرَى الدَّمِ قُلْنَا وَمِنْكَ قَالَ وَمِنِّي وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is not one of you except that he has a companion from the jinn and a companion from the angels." They asked: "Even you?" He replied: "Yes, even me. But Allah has aided me against him, so he has submitted." Abu Muhammad said: "Among the people is someone who says, 'I have submitted' but he means, 'I have given up'."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَقَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ» قَالُوا وَإِيَّاكَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَإِيَّايَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ» قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَسْلَمَ اسْتَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ ذَلَّ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "None of you has any partner except that he has a companion from the angels and from the jinn." They said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he has embraced Islam and he only commands me with goodness."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is none of you except that he has a devil." They said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become Muslim."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَلَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» قَالُوا وَلَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلِي إِلَّا أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is not one of you except that they have a companion devil with them." We said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him, so he surrendered (to Allah)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» قُلْنَا وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَأَنَا إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one among you except that he has a devil." They asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Even me, but Allah has aided me against him, so he has submitted."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا لَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not a single person except that they have a devil." They asked, "Even you?" He replied, "Yes, but Allah has aided me against him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَلَهُ شَيْطَانٌ» قَالُوا وَلَكَ؟ قَالَ «وَلِي إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ»

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , "There is none among you but has been assigned a companion from the jinn." It was asked, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Even me. However, Allah has helped me against him, so he has embraced Islam and does not command me except with good."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ» فَقِيلَ وَإِيَّاكَ؟ قَالَ «وَإِيَّايَ وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ وَلَا يَأْمُرُنِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ»

[AI] "The Messenger ﷺ said, 'There is no one among you except that he has been assigned a companion from the jinn.' They asked, 'Even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become a Muslim.'"

رَسُولُ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ» قَالُوا وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Everyone has a companion from among the jinn." They asked, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes, but Allah has helped me against him, so he has become Muslim and only commands me to do good."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا جُعِلَ مَعَهُ قَرِينٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَلَا يَأْمُرُنِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ»

"لَيسَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إلا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِه قَرينُه مِن الشَّيَاطِين، قَالُوا: وَأَنْتَ يا رسولَ اللهِ؟ قال: نَعَم، ولَكن الله أَعَانَنِى عَلَيه فَأَسْلَم".

"مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إلا جُعِلَ مَعَهُ قَرينٌ مِن الْجِنِّ، قَالُوا وَلا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَال وَلَا أَنا إِلَا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيهِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَلا يَأمُرُنِي إِلا بِخَيرٍ".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إلا ومعَهُ شَيطَانٌ، قَالُوا: وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قال: وَأَنَا، إلا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِى عَلَيهِ فَأَسْلَمَ".
