"خَلَقَ اللَّه أَلْفَ أُمَّة: مِنْها سِتُّمِائَة فِى الْبَحْرِ، وأَرْبعُمِائَة فِى الْبَرِّ، فَأَوَّلُ شَئٍ يهْلِكُ الْجَرَادُ، فَإِذَا هَلَكَ تَتَابَعَتْ مِثْلَ النِّظَامِ إِذَا قُطِع سِلْكُهُ".

"إِنَّ الله تَعَالى خَلَقَ أَلْفَ أُمَّة ستمائَة مِنْها فِي البَحْرِ، وأُربَعمائَة فِي البَرِّ، فأَوَّلُ هَذِه الأمَم هَلَاكًا الجَرَادُ، فَإِذا هَلَكَ الْجَرَادُ تَتَابَعَت الأُمَمُ مِثْلَ نِظَامِ السِّلك إِذا انْقَطَعَ".
