Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is sufficient for one to recite the last two Verses of Surat-al-Baqara at night."

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهْوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَنِيهِ

Whoever recites two verses ... (text as in the following hadith)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah in a night, they will suffice him."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If one recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah at night, it is sufficient for him (for that night)."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody recites the last two Verses of Surat al-Baqara at night, it will be sufficient for him.

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ وَلَقِيتُهُ وَهْوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَذَكَرَ قَوْلَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

I met Abu Masud at the ˹Sacred˺ House, and I said, “A hadith has reached me from you concerning the two verses in Surat al-Baqarah.” He said, “Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The two verses from the end of Surah al-Baqarah—whoever recites them in a night, they will suffice him."”

لَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ، فَقُلْتُ: حَدِيثٌ بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ فِي الآيَتَيْنِ فِي سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ».

If anyone recites the two verses at the end of Surah al-Baqara at night, they would suffice for him 'Abd al-Rahman said: I met Abu Mas'ud and he was circumambulating the House (of Allah) and asked him about this (tradition) and he narrated it to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ هَاتَيْنِ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

I asked Abu Mas'ud while he was making circumambulation of the Ka'bah (about the recitation of some verses from the Qur'an). He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If anyone recited two verses from the last of Surah al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” In his narration (one of the narrators) Hafs said: “ʿAbdur-Rahman said: ‘I met Abu Masʿud when he was performing Tawaf, and he narrated this to me.’”

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ قَالَ حَفْصٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ

“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, it is sufficient for him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1369)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1369)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

[AI] From Abu Mas'ud, I met him while he was circumambulating the Kaaba, so I asked him to narrate from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Whoever recites the last two verses from Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, they will be sufficient for him."

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ حَدِيثًا فَلَقِيتُهُ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet (PBUH), he said: "Whoever recites the two verses from the Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, they will be sufficient for him." Abdul Rahman said: "So, I met Abu Mas'ud and he informed me about it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ

“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1369)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ , recite for me the last two verses from Surah Al-Baqarah, for indeed I have been bestowed with them from beneath the Throne."

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اقْرَأِ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ

[AI] "I met Abu Mas'ud while performing the Tawaf, so I asked him about it. He told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, they will be sufficient for him.’"

لَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فِي الطَّوَافِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5009)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2881)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The two verses at the end of Surah Al-Baqarah, whoever recites them in a night, they will be sufficient for him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْآيَتَينِ فِي آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

[AI] "From Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: When a person recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, it is sufficient for him: 'The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَرَأَ الرَّجُلُ آيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ {آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ}

[AI] So, I met Abu Mas'ud while he was performing Tawaf around the Ka'bah, and I said to him, "Tell me a hadith that you have heard from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ." He replied, "Yes, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The two verses from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah, whoever recites them in one night, they will be sufficient for him.' And the two verses are 'The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord.'"

فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقُلْتُ حَدِيثًا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْكَ عَلْقَمَةُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ {آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ}

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5009)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If one recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah at night, it is sufficient for him (for that night)." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5040)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'The two verses from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah, whoever recites them in one night, they will be sufficient for him.' And he did not mention the "Alqamah" part."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَلْقَمَةَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, it will be sufficient for him." And Al-A'mash reported from Ibrahim from Abdurrahman ibn Yazid similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» وَقَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, it will be sufficient for him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ كَفَتَاهُ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فِي الطَّوَافِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, they will be sufficient for him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

[AI] "The prophet ﷺ said: whoever recites the two verses from Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, they will be sufficient for him."

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ

"مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَينِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ البَقَرَةِ فِي لَيلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ".
