"A thief was brought to the hand." They said: "We did not think that you would take it so far." He said: "If it were Fatimah (who stole), I would cut off her hand."
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِسَارِقٍ فَقَطَعَهُ قَالُوا مَا كُنَّا نُرِيدُ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ مِنْهُ هَذَا قَالَ لَوْ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةَ لَقَطَعْتُهَا
[Machine] "Aisha narrated that a thief was brought to the Prophet ﷺ , and he ordered for the thief to be punished and his hand to be cut off. They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we did not expect him to be affected by this.' He said, 'If it had been Fatimah, I would have cut off her hand.' Then Sufyan said, 'I do not know how it is.'"
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُتِيَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِسَارِقٍ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَقُطِعَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا كُنَّا نَرَى أَنْ يَبْلُغَ مِنْهُ هَذَا قَالَ لَوْ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ لَقَطَعْتُهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ هُوَ ؟
