'Abdullah b. 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spent the night at Dhu'l-Hulaifa while commencing (the rites of) Pilgrimage and he observed prayer in the mosque. (Using translation from Muslim 1188)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٣٦٢٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَثْرُودٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَيْلِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ

«بَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ مَبْدَأَهُ وَصَلَّى فِي مَسْجِدِهَا»

أَنَّهُ قَالَ بَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ مَبْدَأَهُ وَصَلَّى فِي مَسْجِدِهَا  

nasai:2659 – ʿĪsá b. Ibrāhīm b. Mathrūd > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus > Ibn Shihāb > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar from his father

"The Messenger of Allah stayed overnight in dhul-Hulaifah, where he started his Hajj with this action, and he prayed in the Masjid there.''(sahih)
