[Machine] It was the day of Ashura for the people of Yathrib, where the women would adorn themselves with their special clothes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go against them and fast on this day."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٢٨٦٢أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ رَقَبَةَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ

كَانَ يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ لِأَهْلِ يَثْرِبَ تَلْبَسُ فِيهِ النِّسَاءُ شَارَتَهُنَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خَالِفُوهُمْ فَصُومُوهُ»
