"I saw Bilal calling the Adhan in fron of Messenger of Allah, (saying the phrases) two by two, and saying each phrase once in the Iqamah."  

ابن ماجة:٧٣٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ

حَدَّثَنِي مَعْمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ بِلاَلاً يُؤَذِّنُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَيُقِيمُ وَاحِدَةً

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Tammar informed us, who narrated from Abu al-Walid, who narrated from Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad, from Amr ibn Abi Amr, from Ubaidullah ibn Abi Rafe, from Abu Rafe, who said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution three times, three times." Al-Qa'nabi added in his narration, "And two times, and one time."  

الطبراني:٩٣٧حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا
