Did you intend to perform Hajj? She said: By Allah, (I intend to do so) but I often remain ill, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said to her: Perform Hajj but with condition, and say: O Allah, I shall be free from Ihram where you detain me. And she (Dubaʿa) was the wife of Miqdad.

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَرَدْتِ الْحَجَّ قَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَجِدُنِي إِلاَّ وَجِعَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي وَقُولِي اللَّهُمَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ الْمِقْدَادِ

Messenger of Allah, I intend to perform Hajj, but I am ill. Thereupon Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: Enter Into the state of Ihram on condition that you would abandon it when Allah would detain you.

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

I am an ailing woman but I intend to perform Hajj; what you command me (to do)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Enter into the state of Ihram (uttering these words) of condition: I would be free from it when Thou wouldst detain me. 'He (the narrator) said: But she was able to complete (the Hajj without breaking down).

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ؓ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي قَالَ أَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي قَالَ فَأَدْرَكَتْ

Dubaʿah, daughter of al-Zubair bin ʿAbd al-Muttalib, came to the Messenger of Allah(SWAS) and said Messenger of Allah (SWAS) I want to perform Hajj; may I make a provision? He said Yes. She asked how should I say? He replied : Say “ Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (I am at Thy service, Oh Allah, I am at Thy service). The place where I took off Ihram will be where Thou restrainest me.”

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ أَأَشْتَرِطُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ وَمَحِلِّي مِنَ الأَرْضِ حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

"Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair came to the prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I want to perform Hajj so should I state a condition?' He said: 'Yes.' She asked: 'So how should I say it?' He said: 'Say; "Labbaik Allahumma labbaika mahilli minal Ard haithu tahbisuni (I respond to Your call O Allah, I respond to Your call, I will exit Ihram any where on the earth where You prevent me."

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ أَفَأَشْتَرِطُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ مَحِلِّي مِنَ الأَرْضِ حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعَائِشَةَ

"I asked Sa'eed bin Jubair about a man who performs Hajj and stipulates a condition. He said: 'Conditions are something that people do among themselves.' I narrated the Hadith of 'Ikrimah to him, and he narrated to me from Ibn 'Abbas, that Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair bin 'Abdul-Muttalib came to the Prophet, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I want to perform Hajj, so what should I say?' He said: 'Say: Labbaik Allahumma! Labbaika wa mahilli min al-ardihayth tahbisuni (Here I am, O Allah, Here I am, and I shall exit Ihram at any place where You decree that I cannot proceed.)" And whatever condition you stipulate will be accepted by your Lord."

الشَّرْطُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ حَدِيثَهُ يَعْنِي عِكْرِمَةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ وَمَحِلِّي مِنَ الأَرْضِ حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي فَإِنَّ لَكِ عَلَى رَبِّكِ مَا اسْتَثْنَيْتِ

'Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair bin 'Abdul-Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'I am a heavy woman and I want to go for Hajj. How do I begin the Ihram?' He said: 'Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented (from continuing, if some problem should arise)."

جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُهِلَّ قَالَ أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي إِنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

“I do not know if it was Asma’ bint Abu Bakr or Su’da bint ‘Awf’ – that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Duba’ah bint ‘Abdul-Muttalib and said: “What is keeping you, O my aunt, from performing Hajj?” She said: “I am a sick woman, and I am afraid of being prevented (from completing Hajj).” He said: ‘Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.’”

لاَ أَدْرِي أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَوْ سُعْدَى بِنْتِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ مَا يَمْنَعُكِ يَا عَمَّتَاهُ مِنَ الْحَجِّ فَقَالَتْ أَنَا امْرَأَةٌ سَقِيمَةٌ وَأَنَا أَخَافُ الْحَبْسَ قَالَ فَأَحْرِمِي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلَّكِ حَيْثُ حُبِسْتِ

"I asked Sa'eed bin Jubair about a man who performs Hajj and stipulates a condition. He said: 'Conditions are something that people do among themselves.' أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ «قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَمَحِلِّي حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي فَإِنَّ لَكِ عَلَى رَبِّكِ مَا اسْتَثْنَيْتِ»

Duba’ah bint Zubair bin ‘Abdul- Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “I am a heavy woman and I want to go for Hajj. How should I enter Ihram?” He said: “Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2938)

أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي كَيْفَ أُهِلُّ؟ قَالَ أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي قَالَ فَأَدْرَكَتْ

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Dubaa bint Az-Zubair and said to her, "Do you have a desire to perform the Hajj?" She replied, "By Allah, I feel sick." He said to her, "Intend to perform Hajj and stipulate something by saying, 'O Allah, I will finish my Ihram at any place where You stop me (i.e. I am unable to go further)." She was the wife of Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5089)

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَرَدْتِ الْحَجَّ؟ قَالَتْ وَاللهِ مَا أَجِدُنِي إِلَّا وَجِعَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي فَقُولِي اللهُمَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Zubayra bint Al-Zubayr ibn Abdul-Muttalib while she was complaining. He said, "Will you not join us on this journey?" And he wanted to perform the Farewell Hajj. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am complaining and I fear that my complaint will prevent me." He said, "Accompany your family for Hajj and say, 'O Allah, my place is wherever You confine me."'

أَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَهِيَ شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَخْرُجِينَ مَعَنَا فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا؟ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي شَاكِيَةٌ وَأَخْشَى أَنْ تَحْبِسَنِي شَكْوَايَ قَالَ فَأَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَقُولِي اللهُمَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي

“I do not know if it was Asma’ bint Abu Bakr or Su’da bint ‘Awf’ – that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Duba’ah bint ‘Abdul-Muttalib and said: “What is keeping you, O my aunt, from performing Hajj?” She said: “I am a sick woman, and I am afraid of being prevented (from completing Hajj).” He said: ‘Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2936)

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to Dibaa'ah, "Perform Hajj and stipulate that the place where you kept me captive is the location for my release."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّيَ حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Duba'ah bint Zubi' ibn 'Abdul-Muttalib while she was complaining, so he said to her, "File your complaint and make a condition that my judgment will be where you have confined me."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَهِيَ شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّيَ حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Dhubaa'ah while she was mourning and she said, "I want to perform Hajj while I am mourning." He said to her, "Perform Hajj and stipulate that the place where you held me captive is my place of return."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ وَهِيَ شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ لَهَا «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّيَ حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to Duba'ah bint Zubayr, "Take me to perform Hajj and say that it is my dwelling place where you have confined me."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ «أَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَقُولِي مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبِسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered the house of Duba'ah bint Zubayr ibn Abdul-Muttalib and said to her, "O aunt, fulfill my Hajj (pilgrimage)". She replied, "I am a heavy woman and I fear imprisonment." He said, "Fulfill my Hajj and stipulate that my place of confinement is where you were imprisoned."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ لَهَا «يَا عَمَّةُ حُجِّي» فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ الْحَبْسَ فَقَالَ «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّيَ حَيْثُ حُبِسْتُ»

[AI] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said to Dhuba'ah, 'Perform the pilgrimage and stipulate that my place of confinement is where you have held me.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] Zubayra bint al-Zubayr ibn Abd al-Muttalib came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I want to perform Hajj. Should I stipulate any conditions?" He replied, "Yes." She asked, "How should I say it?" He said, "Say: Labbaik Allahumma labbaik mahilli min al-ardh, haythu habastani."

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ أَفَأَشْتَرِطُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَتْ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ مَحِلِّي مِنَ الْأَرْضِ حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ said to Dib'aa'a: "Perform Hajj, but stipulate that my place of confinement is where you are holding me."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to Dhuba'ah, "Make sure that my place of captivity is included in the conditions."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ «اشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Du'bah, the daughter of Zubayr ibn Abd al-Muttalib, while she was complaining. She said, "I wish to perform Hajj but I am unable to. "The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Perform Hajj and make the condition that you say: 'O Allah, my place of residence is wherever You have confined me.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَهِيَ شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَإِنِّي شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ «حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي قُولِي اللهُمَّ إِنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Duba'ah bint al-Zubair ibn Abdul-Muttalib, "Do you want to perform Hajj?'' She said, "I am sick.'' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to her, ''Perform Hajj and stipulate, 'O Allah, enable me to perform Hajj wherever you have restricted me.''

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ «أَتُرِيدِينَ الْحَجَّ؟» قَالَتْ إِنِّي مَرِيضَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي وَقُولِي اللهُمَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ entered upon Duba'ah bint Zubayr bin Abdul-Muttalib, who was staying with Mikdad bin Al-Aswad, a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He said to her, "Perhaps you want to perform Hajj?" She replied, "By Allah, I find myself unable due to illness." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Perform the Hajj and make a condition by saying, 'O Allah, my place of residence is wherever You have detained me.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهَا «لَعَلَّكِ أَرَدْتِ الْحَجَّ؟» قَالَتْ وَاللهِ مَا أَجِدُنِي إِلَّا وَجِعَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي قُولِي اللهُمَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

[AI] Ali entered while the Prophet ﷺ was present, and I was complaining. He said, "Do you want to perform the Hajj this year?" I replied, "I am sick, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Perform the Hajj and say my name as your Mahill (a place of staying) wherever you are kept."

دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ «أَمَا تُرِيدِينَ الْحَجَّ الْعَامَ؟» فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي عَلِيلَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ حُجِّي وَقُولِي مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

'Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair bin 'Abdul-Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'I am a heavy woman and I want to go for Hajj. How do I begin the Ihram?' He said: 'Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented (from continuing, if some problem should arise)." عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُهِلَّ؟ قَالَ «أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي إِنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي»

Dubaʿah, daughter of al-Zubair bin ʿAbd al-Muttalib, came to the Messenger of Allah(SWAS) and said Messenger of Allah (SWAS) I want to perform Hajj; may I make a provision? He said Yes. She asked how should I say? He replied : Say “ Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (I am at Thy service, Oh Allah, I am at Thy service). The place where I took off Ihram will be where Thou restrainest me.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1776)

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ «قَوْلِي لَبَّيْكَ اللهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ وَمَحِلِّي مِنَ الْأَرْضِ حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي فَإِنَّ لَكِ عَلَى رَبِّكَ مَا اسْتَثْنَيْتِ»

[AI] The Prophet entered the house of Dhuba'ah bint al-Zubayr ibn Abdul-Muttalib, and she said, "I desire to perform Hajj but I am ill." The Prophet said, "Perform Hajj and make the condition that your designated place of residence is where you are currently confined." 10106 He said, "And Abdur-Razzaq narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Aisha, a similar narration."

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي 10106 قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مِثْلَهُ

Duba’ah bint Zubair bin ‘Abdul- Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “I am a heavy woman and I want to go for Hajj. How should I enter Ihram?” He said: “Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2938)

جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَأُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي أُهِلُّ؟ قَالَ أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

[AI] "The fox came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I am a heavy woman, and I want to perform Hajj. What do you command me?' He said, 'Take your family for Hajj and stipulate that my location is where you imprisoned me.' And she understood."

أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي؟ قَالَ أَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي فَأَدْرَكَتْهُ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited Duba'ah bint Zubair while she was intending to perform Hajj. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Specify a place for me at your Ihram where you confined me, as it will be yours."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَهِيَ تُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اشْتَرِطِي عِنْدَ إِحْرَامِكِ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَكِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to Dubaa'ah bint Zubayr, "Perform Hajj and specify that my place of dwelling will be where you imprison me."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي

("أتريدين الحجَّ؟ فقالت: أنا شاكيةٌ، فقال: حُجِّى واشْتَرِطِى إنّ مَحِلِّى حيث حَبَسْتَنِي".
