ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ عَلَى دِينِ قَوْمِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "I have never desired anything ugly that the people of the pre-Islamic period desired except on two occasions, and both times Allah protected me from it."  

ابن حبّان:٦٢٧٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا هَمَمْتُ بِقَبِيحٍ مِمَّا يَهُمُّ بِهِ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِلَّا مَرَّتَيْنِ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ كِلْتَاهُمَا عَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُمَا
