"The sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."  

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ  

On the day of Ibrahim's death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear."  

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ  

I heard Mughira b. Shu'ba saying that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when Ibrahim died. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily the sun and the moon are the two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse on account of the death of anyone or on account of the birth of anyone. So when you see them, supplicate Allah, and observe prayer till it is over.  

سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ يَقُولُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْكَشِفَ  

I heard Mughira b. Shu'ba saying that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when Ibrahim died. [Machine] The sun darkened at the time of the death of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when Ibrahim died. The people said, "The sun has darkened due to the death of Ibrahim." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are signs from Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, pray and supplicate to Allah."  

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ كَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَةٌ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا اللهَ ﷻ  

[Machine] The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , so he quickly got up and rushed to the mosque. The people followed him, and he performed two units of prayer. Afterwards, he turned to us and said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah, and by them, Allah frightens His servants. They do not eclipse for the death of anyone. His son, Ibrahim, passed away. So, when you see an eclipse, pray and supplicate to Allah until what is troubling you is removed."  

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مُسْتَعْجِلًا حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ وَثَابَ النَّاسُ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَجُلِّيَ عَنْهَا ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ يُخَوِّفُ بِهِمَا عِبَادَهُ وَلَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَاتَ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْهُمَا شَيْئًا فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا حَتَّى يُكْشَفَ مَا بِكُمْ  

[Machine] Indeed, the sun eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, passed away. The people thought that it had eclipsed due to his death. Then the Prophet ﷺ stood up and said, "O people, indeed the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone. So, when you witness this, stand up for prayer, remember Allah, supplicate, and give in charity."  

أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ كَسَفَتْ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَظَنَّ النَّاسُ أَنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِهِ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَقُومُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَإِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَادْعُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا»  

[Machine] "The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he said, 'Verily, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. So when you see them, give charity, pray, glorify Allah, and supplicate to Him.'"  

خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْخَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَتَصَدَّقُوا وَصَلُّوا وَكَبِّرُوا وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ»  

[Machine] "The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The sun and the moon do not eclipse due to someone's death or life. So if you see anything from that, then pray until it becomes clear or Allah brings about a matter.'"  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ شَيْئًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ أَوْ يُحَدِّثَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا»  

[Machine] When Ibrahim bin Rasul Allah ﷺ died, the sun was eclipsed. The people said that the sun was eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death, the son of Rasul Allah ﷺ . Rasul Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone nor for his life. So when you see that, then pray until it clears."  

لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ»

[Machine] The sun was eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not become eclipsed for the death or the life of anyone. So, when you see them, then engage in supplication until they become clear."  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا تَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى تَنْكَشِفَ»  

[Machine] When Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet ﷺ died, the sun eclipsed and people said it eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and said, "O people, the sun and moon do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone, but they are signs from the signs of Allah. So when you see the eclipse, then pray until it clears."  

لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْكَشِفَ»  

[Machine] I heard Abu Mas'ud say that the sun was eclipsed on the day that Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , passed away. The people said that the sun was eclipsed due to Ibrahim's death. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or the life of anyone. So when you see that, then hasten to remember Allah and to pray."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللهِ وَإِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»  

[Machine] The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Ibrahim's death coincided with it. He said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but when you see it happening, then pray."  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ مَوْتَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَصَلُّوا»  

[Machine] The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and some people said, "The sun has eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim ﷺ ." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, the sun and the moon do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone. Rather, they are two signs among the signs of Allah. So, when you see them, invoke Allah and offer prayer."  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أُنَاسٌ إِنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَصَلُّوا»  

"The sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah." [Machine] The sun eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah, died. The people said, "The sun has eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death." So when you see that, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and to prayer."

[Machine] The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so the people said that it had eclipsed due to the death of Ibrahim. [Machine] The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they said it had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the mosque and prayed with the people. He said, "O people, the sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, hasten to the prayer."  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ
