"The sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."  

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ  

I heard Mughira b. Shu'ba saying that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when Ibrahim died. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily the sun and the moon are the two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse on account of the death of anyone or on account of the birth of anyone. So when you see them, supplicate Allah, and observe prayer till it is over.  

سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ يَقُولُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْكَشِفَ  

I heard Mughira b. Shu'ba saying that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when Ibrahim died. [Machine] The sun darkened at the time of the death of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when Ibrahim died. The people said, "The sun has darkened due to the death of Ibrahim." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are signs from Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, pray and supplicate to Allah."  

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ كَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَةٌ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا اللهَ ﷻ  

[Machine] I heard Al-Mugheerah bin Shu'bah say that the sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day Ibrahim, may Allah's peace be upon him, died. So the people said, "The sun has been eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily the sun and the moon are signs among the signs of Allah, they do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. So when you see them, supplicate to Allah and perform prayer until it becomes clear."  

سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ يَقُولُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَادْعُوا وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ»  

[Machine] When Ibrahim bin Rasul Allah ﷺ died, the sun was eclipsed. The people said that the sun was eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death, the son of Rasul Allah ﷺ . Rasul Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone nor for his life. So when you see that, then pray until it clears."  

لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ»

[Machine] When Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet ﷺ died, the sun eclipsed and people said it eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and said, "O people, the sun and moon do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone, but they are signs from the signs of Allah. So when you see the eclipse, then pray until it clears."  

لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْكَشِفَ»  

[Machine] I heard Abu Mas'ud say that the sun was eclipsed on the day that Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , passed away. The people said that the sun was eclipsed due to Ibrahim's death. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or the life of anyone. So when you see that, then hasten to remember Allah and to pray."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللهِ وَإِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»  

[Machine] The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and some people said, "The sun has eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim ﷺ ." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, the sun and the moon do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone. Rather, they are two signs among the signs of Allah. So, when you see them, invoke Allah and offer prayer."  

انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أُنَاسٌ إِنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَصَلُّوا»  

"The sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah." [Machine] The sun eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah, died. The people said, "The sun has eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs from among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and to prayer."
