43. Book of Impermissible and Permissible
٤٣۔ كِتَابُ الْحَظْرِ وَالْإِبَاحَةِ
[Machine] While we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a woman on a camel became stubborn and cursed her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take your belongings from her and send her away, for she is cursed." They did as he said, and it seemed to me that I was watching a greenish camel.

[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah was on one of his journeys, he heard a curse and asked, "Who is this?" It was said, "It is so-and-so, her curse follows her." The Messenger of Allah said, "Remove the curse from her, for she is cursed." So the curse was removed from her. Imran said, "It was as if I could see her as a pale camel."

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he was seeking Magdiyya bin Amr al-Juhani. The tracker was following him from among us, numbering five, six, and seven. We approached 'Uqbah, a man from the Ansar, who had a tracker with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him to climb it, so he captured it, tamed it, and then sent it back. It started to kick him, and he said, "May Allah curse you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who is this cursed person with his camel?" I said, O Messenger of Allah, it is me. He said, "Descend from it, do not accompany us as a cursed one. Do not invoke curses upon yourselves, your children, or your wealth. Do not pray to meet your prayers, lest He may respond to you."

[Machine] The translation of the provided Arabic text is as follows:
"There was a servant girl between us, riding on a camel or a mule carrying the belongings of the people between two mountains. The mountain became tight for her, and then the Messenger of Allahﷺ came upon her. When she saw him, she started to say, 'May Allah curse him! O Allah, curse him!' The Messenger of Allahﷺ said, 'Do not accompany us on a mount that is cursed by Allah.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on the day of Aḍḥa or ʿĪd to the prayer ground and performed the prayer, then he left and stood up to address the people and commanded them with charity. He said, "O people, give charity." Then he left and passed by the women and said, "O group of women, give charity, for I have seen that you are the majority of the people of Hellfire." They asked, "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religious commitment than you. A cautious wise man may be led astray by some of you." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is deficient in our intelligence and religious commitment?" He said, "Is not the testimony of a woman equivalent to half of that of a man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is due to the deficiency in her intelligence. Is it not true that when a woman menstruates, she does not pray nor fast?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is due to the deficiency in her religion." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left and when he reached his house, Zainab, the wife of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud sought permission to see him. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, here is Zainab seeking permission to see you." He asked, "Which Zainab?" They replied, "The wife of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud." He said, "Grant her permission." So they allowed her to enter and she said, "O Prophet of Allah, you commanded us today to give charity and I had adornments with me that I wanted to give in charity. However, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and his children claim that they have more right to receive my charity." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give charity to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and his children."

[Machine] Abdul Malik used to send to Umm Darda. She said, "And perhaps he would stay with him (Abdul Malik)." Abdul Malik then called a servant who was slow in coming to him, so he prayed, "O Allah, curse him." Umm Darda said, "Do not curse him, for I heard Abu Darda narrating from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: 'Indeed, those who curse others will not be witnesses or intermediaries on the Day of Resurrection.'"

He heard the Prophet ﷺ, when he raised his head in the last rak'ah of the subh prayer, say: "O Allah, curse so-and-so and so-and-so," supplicating against some of the hypocrites. Then Allah revealed the words: "Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy to (pardon) them or punishes them; verily, they are the wrongdoers." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1078)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There will be in the latter part of my nation men who ride on saddles like skeletons of men; they will enter the doors of mosques. Their women will be clothed and yet naked, with their hair disheveled. Curse them, for they are cursed. If they die, do not offer the funeral prayer for them, nor bury them in Muslim graveyards, for they are disbelievers."
