الحاكم:٥٠٠٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَطَّةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُسْتَةَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ شُيُوخِهِ قَالَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ كَانَ مَوْلَى لِثُبَيْتَةَ بِنْتِ يَعَارٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ فَتَبَّنَاهُ وَكَانَ يُقَالُ سَالِمُ بْنُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ {ادْعُوهُمْ لِآبَائِهِمْ} [الأحزاب 5] قِيلَ لِسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْيَمَامَةِ شَهِيدًا سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ وَوُجِدَ رَأْسُهُ عِنْدَ رِجْلِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ أَوْ رِجْلُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ

وَقَالَ مُوسَى بْنُ عُتْبَةَ «هُوَ سَالِمُ بْنُ مَعْقِلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ إِصْطَخْرَ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه
