Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Prophet ﷺ David used not to eat except from the earnings of his manual labor."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ كَانَ لاَ يَأْكُلُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ

ibnhibban:6227 – Ibn Qutaybah > Ibn Abū al-Sarī > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > Hammām b. Munabbih > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "David used to eat only from the work of his own hands."

ابن حبّان:٦٢٢٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
