The Prophet ﷺ said, "A matron should not be given in marriage except after consulting her; and a virgin should not be given in marriage except after her permission." The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! How can we know her permission?" He said, "Her silence (indicates her permission).

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الأَيِّمُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا قَالَ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ

"A previously married woman should not be married until her permission has been sought, and a virgin should not be married until her consent is sought." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how does she give her permission?" He said: "Her permission is if she keeps silent."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا قَالَ إِذْنُهَا أَنْ تَسْكُتَ

the Messenger of Allah said: “A previously-married woman should not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin should not be married until her consent is sought, and her consent is her silence.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلاَ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ وَإِذْنُهَا الصُّمُوتُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ وَإِذْنُهَا الصُّمُوتُ»

"A previously married woman should not be married until her permission has been sought, and a virgin should not be married until her consent is sought." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا؟ قَالَ «إِذْنُهَا أَنْ تَسْكُتَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not marry a divorced woman until you have sought her permission, and do not marry a virgin until you have sought her consent." They asked, "How can her consent be obtained, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "By her silence."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ قَالُوا كَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ الصُّمُوتُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The orphan girl should not be married until she is consulted, and the virgin girl should not be married until permission is sought." They asked, "How can her permission be obtained?" He said, "By her silence."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْأَيِّمُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ قَالُوا كَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا؟ قَالَ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لا تنكح الثيب حتى تستأمر ولاَ تنكح البكر حتى تستأذن قالوا وكيف إذنها قال الصمت

"لَا تُنْكَحُ الأَيِّمُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ، وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ، قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ الله: وَكَيْفَ إِذنُهَا؟ قَالَ: أَنْ تَسْكُتَ".

"لَا تُنكَحُ الثَّيِّبُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأمرَ، وَلَا تُنْكَحُ البِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأذَنَ وِإذنُها الصُّمُوتُ".
