I have declared sacred the territory between the two lava plains of Medina, so its trees should not be cut down, or its game killed; and he also said: Medina is best for them if they knew. No one leaves it through dislike of it without Allah putting in it someone better than he in place of him; and no one will stay there in spite of its hardships and distress without my being an intercessor or witness on behalf of him on the Day of Resurrection.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَىِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا أَوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا وَقَالَ الْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ لاَ يَدَعُهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلاَّ أَبْدَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ وَلاَ يَثْبُتُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى لأْوَائِهَا وَجَهْدِهَا إِلاَّ كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَوْ شَهِيدًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا أَوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا وَقَالَ الْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلا أَبْدَلَ اللهُ فِيهَا مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ وَلا يَثْبُتُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَجَهْدِهَا إِلا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, I sanctify what is between the two lava fields of Al-Madinah just as Ibrahim sanctified it. Its game is not hunted, its trees are not cut, and no one leaves it out of desire for it except that Allah substitutes something better for him. Al-Madinah is better for them if they only knew. And no one wishes harm upon them except that Allah melts him like lead in the Fire or like salt in water."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِكَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَرَمَهُ لَا يُقْطَعُ عِضَاهُهَا وَلا يُقْتَلُ صَيْدُهَا وَلا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلا أَبْدَلَهَا اللهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ وَلا يُرِيدُهُمِ أحَدٌ بِسُوءٍ إِلا أَذَابَهُ اللهُ ذَوْبَ الرَّصَاصِ فِي النَّارِ أَوْ ذَوْبَ الْمِلْحِ فِي الْمَاءِ

[AI] I heard Abu al-Qasim ﷺ say, "Men leave the city out of desire for it, but the city is better for them if only they knew."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رِجَالٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, there are men who incite their tribes to say 'good, good' while the city is better for them if they only knew. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, no one endures its hardships and difficulties except that I will be a witness or intercessor for them on the Day of Resurrection. And by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it will expel its people just as the bellows removes the impurities from iron. And by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, no one leaves it desiring something else except that Allah will replace it with something better."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ رِجَالًا يَسْتَنْفِرُونَ عَشَائِرَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ الْخَيْرَ الْخَيْرَ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتَنْفِي أَهْلَهَا كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ رَاغِبًا عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَهَا اللهُ ﷻ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Men will leave Medina unwillingly, while Medina is better for them if they only knew.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَخْرُجَنَّ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رِجَالٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ

Malik related to me from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one leaves Madina preferring to live elsewhere, but that Allah will give it better than him in place of him ."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَخْرُجُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلاَّ أَبْدَلَهَا اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one leaves it, meaning the city, out of their desire for it, except that Allah will replace it with something better for it. And the city is better for them if they only knew."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَهَا اللَّهُ مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهَا مِنْهُ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ»

قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ إن رجالا سيفرون إلى عشائرهم والمدينة خير لهم لو كانوا يعلمون والذي نفس مُحَمد بيده لا يثبت أحد فيها فيصبر على لأوائها وشدتها إلاَّ كنت له شَفِيعًا وشهيدا يوم القيامة ولاَ يخرج عنها أحد رغبة عنها إلاَّ أبدل الله مكانه من هو خير منه والذي نفس مُحَمد بيده إنها لتنفي خبث أهلها أَحسَبُهُ قال كما ينفي الكير خبث الحديد ولا نعلم أسند أَبُو صالح الساعدي عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ هذا الحديث ولاَ روى عنه إلاَّ هاشم بن هاشم ولاَ يعرف لأبي صالح هذا اسم زياد بن ثُوَيب ويُقَال ثَوْب عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قال ليخرجن من المدينة رجال رغبة عنها والمدينة خير لهم لو كانوا يعلمون

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one leaves Medina desiring to be away from it except that Allah will replace it with something better for him, and no one remains patient in it and endures its hardships until he dies in it, except that I will be a witness for him or an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection. And the space between its two lava fields is made sacred, so no one should cut its trees or hunt its game. And no one from the people of Medina intends evil except that Allah will melt him in the fire like the melting of lead or the melting of salt in water."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَخْرُجُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رَاغِبًا عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَهَا اللهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ وَلَا يَثْبُتُ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ يَصْبِرُ عَلَى جَهْدِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا حَتَّى يَمُوتَ فِيهَا إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَحَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا أَنْ يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا أَوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا وَلَا يُرِيدُ أَحَدٌ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ بِسُوءٍ إِلَّا أَذَابَهُ اللهُ فِي النَّارِ ذَوْبَ الرَّصَاصِ أَوْ ذَوْبَ الْمِلْحِ فِي الْمَاءِ»

"إِنَّ رجالًا يَسْتَنْفِرُونَ بعَشَائِرهم تقولُ الخيرَ والخير ، والمدينةُ خيْرٌ لَهُمْ لو كانُوا يعلمون والذى نفس محمَّد بيده لا يصبر على لأَوَائِها وشدته أَحَدٌ إِلا كنتُ له شَفيعًا أَو شَهيدًا أَوْ هُمَا جميعًا يومَ الْقيَامَة، والذى نفسُ محمَّد بيده، إِنها لتنْفِى

خَبَثَ أَهِلَها كما ينفى الكيرُ خبثَ الحديد، والذى نفسُ محمَّد بيده، لا يَخرجُ فيها أَحدٌ راغبًا عنها إِلَّا أَبدلها اللَّهُ خيرًا منه".

"إِنّى أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لابَتَى المدينَةِ أَن يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا، أوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا، المدينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانوا يَعْلَمُونَ، لا يَدَعُهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلا أَبْدَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ، وَلا يثبُتُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى لأوَائِهَا وَجَهْدهَا إِلا كنْتُ لَهُ شَفيعًا أو شَهيدًا يَوْمَ الْقيَامة، وَلا يُريدُ أَحَدٌ أَهْلَ الْمَدينَة بسُوء إِلا أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ في النَّارِ ذَوْبَ الرَّصَاصِ أَوْ ذَوْبَ الملْحِ فِى الْمَاءِ) .

"لَا يَخْرُجُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إلا أبْدَلَهَا الله بِهِ خَيرًا مِنْهُ".

"لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا أحَدٌ -يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ- رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا، إلا أبْدَلَهَا الله مَا هُوَ خَيرٌ لَهَا مِنْهُ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ".

"لَا يَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَة رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا، إلا أبْدَلَهَا الله خَيرَا مِنْهُ، وَلَيَسْمَعَنَّ نَاسٌ بِرِخَصٍ مِنْ أسْعَارٍ وَرِيفٍ فَيَتَّبِعُونَهُ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ".
