I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The example of a Mujahid in Allah's Cause-- and Allah knows better who really strives in His Cause----is like a person who fasts and prays continuously. Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ وَتَوَكَّلَ اللَّهُ لِلْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِهِ بِأَنْ يَتَوَفَّاهُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ يَرْجِعَهُ سَالِمًا مَعَ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah guarantees (the person who carries out Jihad in His Cause and nothing compelled him to go out but Jihad in His Cause and the belief in His Word) that He will either admit him into Paradise (Martyrdom) or return him with reward or booty he has earned to his residence from where he went out."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَكَفَّلَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ جَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ لاَ يُخْرِجُهُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلاَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ وَتَصْدِيقُ كَلِمَتِهِ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ يَرُدَّهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ بِمَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The parable of Mujahid (who strives in the cause of Allah) - and Allah knows best who strives in teh cause of Allah - is that of one who fasts and prays Qiyam (continually). Allah has promised Mujahid (who strives in His cause), that He will either cause him to die and admit him to paradise, or, He will bring him back safely with whatever he had earned of reward or spoils of war.'"

"مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيل اللهِ -واللهُ أَعْلَمُ بمَنْ يُجَاهِدُ فِي سبيلِهِ- كَمثلِ الصَّائِمِ الْقائِم الدَّائِمِ الَّذي لَا يَفْتُر مِنْ صِيَامٍ وَلَا صَدقَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ، وتَوَكَّلَ اللهُ لِلمُجاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِهِ إِنْ تَوَفَّاهُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجنَّةَ، أَوْ يُرْجِعَهُ سَالما مَعَ أَجرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ".
