(a companion of the Prophet ﷺ and one of his cavalry men) "I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan; so, if anyone of you had a bad dream which he disliked, then he should spit on his left and seek refuge with Allah from it, for it will not harm him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 7005)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ اللهِ وَالْحُلُمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا حَلَمَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْحُلُمَ يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللهِ مِنْهُ فَلَنْ يَضُرَّهُ»

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) say: A good vision comes from Allah and a dream (hulm) from the devil, so when one of you sees what he dislikes, he must spit on his left (three times), and seek refuge in Allah from its evil. It will then not harm him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5021)

"الرُّؤيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ الله، وَالحُلْمُ مِنْ الشَّيطَان. فَإِذَا رَأى أَحَدُكُمْ شَيئًا يَكْرَهه فَليَنْفُثْ حِينَ يَسْتَيقِظ عَنْ يَسَارِه ثَلَاثًا وليتعَوَّذ بالله مِنْ شَرِّهَا فَإِنَّها لَا تَضُرُّه".
