My father bought a slave who practiced the profession of cupping. (My father broke the slave's instruments of cupping). I asked my father why he had done so. He replied, "The Prophet ﷺ forbade the acceptance of the price of a dog or blood, and also forbade the profession of tattooing, getting tattooed and receiving or giving Riba, (usury), and cursed the picture-makers."

رَأَيْتُ أَبِي اشْتَرَى عَبْدًا حَجَّامًا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَنَهَى عَنِ الْوَاشِمَةِ وَالْمَوْشُومَةِ وَآكِلِ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلِهِ وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ

I saw my father buying a slave whose profession was cupping, and ordered that his instruments (of cupping) be broken. I asked him the reason for doing so. He replied, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited taking money for blood, the price of a dog, and the earnings of a slave-girl by prostitution; he cursed her who tattoos and her who gets tattooed, the eater of Riba (usury), and the maker of pictures."

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَكَسْبِ الأَمَةِ وَلَعَنَ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ

The Prophet ﷺ cursed the lady who practices tattooing and the one who gets herself tattooed, and one who eats (takes) Riba' (usury) and the one who gives it. And he prohibited taking the price of a dog, and the money earned by prostitution, and cursed the makers of pictures.

لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَنَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَكَسْبِ الْبَغِيِّ وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرِينَ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the use of the price of blood and the price of a dog, the one who takes (eats) usury the one who gives usury, the woman who practises tattooing and the woman who gets herself tattooed.

إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَآكِلِ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلِهِ وَالْوَاشِمَةِ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةِ

that he had bought a slave whose profession was cupping. The Prophet ﷺ forbade taking the price of blood and the price of a dog and the earnings of a prostitute, and cursed the one who took or gave (Riba') usury, and the lady who tattooed others or got herself tattooed, and the picture-maker.

[AI] I saw my father buy a cupper, and he ordered that the cupping instruments be broken. He said: I asked him about that, and he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of blood, the price of a dog, and the earnings of a prostitute; and he cursed the woman who tattoos and the woman who seeks tattooing, the one who consumes usury and the one who pays it, and he cursed the image-maker.

رَأَيْتُ أَبِي اشْتَرَى حَجَّامًا، فَأَمَرَ بِالْمَحَاجِمِ فَكُسِرَتْ. قَالَ: فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَكَسْبِ الْبَغِيِّ، وَلَعَنَ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ، وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ.

[AI] He bought a slave who was a cupper, and he ordered his cupping instruments to be broken, so they were broken. I said to him, "Are you breaking them?" He said: Yes. "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of blood, the price of a dog, and the earnings of a prostitute, and he cursed the one who consumes usury and the one who pays it, the woman who tattoos and the woman who gets tattooed, and he cursed the image-maker."

أَنَّهُ اشْتَرَى غُلَامًا حَجَّامًا، فَأَمَرَ بِمَحَاجِمِهِ فَكُسِرَتْ. فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: أَتَكْسِرُهَا؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ، وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ، وَكَسْبِ الْبَغِيِّ، وَلَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ، وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ، وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ».

[AI] I saw my father buying a cupper and he came with his tools and they broke. So, I asked him about that, and he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited benefiting from selling blood, selling dogs, earning through dishonest means, cursing those who do tattoos and those who get tattoos, consuming interest and those who facilitate it, and cursing those who make images."

رَأَيْتُ أَبِي اشْتَرَى حَجَّامًا فَأَتَى بِمَحَاجِمِهِ فَكُسِرَتْ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَكَسْبِ الْبَغِيِّ وَلَعَنَ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the price of blood and the price of a dog, and the dowry of the rebellious woman, and cursed the female tattooer and the tattooed woman, and the consumer of usury and the one who facilitates it.

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَعَنْ مَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَلَعَنَ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ»

[AI] And he said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of blood, and the price of a dog, and the dowry of a prostitute, and cursed the eater of usury and its giver, and the tattooer and the one who gets tattooed, and cursed the painter."

وَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَعَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَلَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَلَعَنَ الْمُصَوِّرَ
