البزّار:٢١٠٣ – حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ

اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمٌ يَجْتَهِدُونَ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ اجْتِهَادًا شَدِيدًا فَقَالَ تِلْكَ ضَرَاوَةُ الْإِسْلَامِ وَلِكُلِّ شِرَّةٍ فَتْرَةٌ فَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى اقْتِصَادٍ فَلَا يُلَامُ أَوْ فَلَا لَوْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى الْمَعَاصِي فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْهَالِكُونَ

[Machine] It was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about men who strive hard in worship, so he said, "That is the harshness and severity of Islam. And for every harshness, there is a sharpness, and for every sharpness, there is a period. So, whoever's period is towards moderation and following the Sunnah, then he is on the right path. And whoever's period is towards disobedience, then that is his destruction."
