[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray twelve units of prayer when he missed the night prayer due to pain or otherwise, during the daytime.  

البيهقي:٤٥٦٢ – أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَحْرٍ الْبُرِّيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّ

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا فَاتَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مِنْ وَجَعٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ صَلَّى مِنَ النَّهَارِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ 4563 وَرَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وزَادَ فِيهِ وَكَانَ إِذَا عَمِلَ عَمَلًا أَثْبَتَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَكَانَ إِذَا نَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ مَرِضَ صَلَّى مِنَ النَّهَارِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ فَذَكَرَهُ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَشْرَمٍ
