[Machine] To be a judge, one should possess five qualities: chastity, forbearance, knowledge of what came before, seeking the advice of knowledgeable people, and not caring about people's criticism.  

البيهقي:٢٠٣٠٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَأَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ قَاضِي الْكُوفَةِ وَقَالَ الْقَاضِي لَا يَنْبَغِي

أَنْ يَكُونَ قَاضِيًا حَتَّى يَكُونَ فِيهِ خَمْسُ خِصَالٍ عَفِيفٌ حَلِيمٌ عَالِمٌ بِمَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ يَسْتَشِيرُ ذَوِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَا يُبَالِي بِمَلَامَةِ النَّاسِ
