[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ likened them; because they were likened to the shepherd.  

البيهقي:١٨٠٥٥ – وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الرُّصَافِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِنَّمَا مَثَّلَ بِهِمْ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ مَثَّلُوا بِالرَّاعِي
