البيهقي:١٥٤٥٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ أنا الرَّبِيعُ أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ أنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ يَقُولُ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ أَنْ أَجْعَلَ عِدَّةَ الْأَمَةِ حَيْضَةً وَنِصْفًا فَقَالَ

رَجُلٌ فَاجْعَلْهَا شَهْرًا وَنِصْفًا فَسَكَتَ عُمَرُ ؓ
